Our online orientation is a program that is completed asynchronously. During this required online experience, you will learn about our community and our history, discover resources, and prepare for success in and out of the classroom. This program will also give you access to academic advising and course registration.
This experience provides students the opportunity to complete their orientation requirement on their own time and learn about the CSU community.
Online Ram Orientation Process
Online Ram Orientation is a 3 step process. Steps 1-3 must be completed to successfully finish orientation. If you have any questions about completing any of the steps, contact our office.
Step 1: Register for Online Ram Orientation
Using your CSU eName and password, sign in to our Orientation Reservations system and select the session that is best for you. There is also a section for you to fill out with any AP, IB, or Dual Enrollment courses you have taken and the scores you earned (or anticipate earning). Be sure to fill out this section as fully as possible to ensure the most helpful Academic Advising and Course Registration experience.
If you would like to register someone for Parent, Family, and Guest Orientation, you will be able to do that during the registration process as well.
Step 2: Complete the Required Orientation Modules
The Required Orientation modules will open on November 14th, 2022. You will receive a direct link to your CSU email account inbox with information about how to access and complete the Required Orientation modules. These online modules will provide you with information you need to know before meeting with your Academic Advisor or Academic Success Coordinator to register for classes. You must fully complete these online modules before moving on to Step 3: Advising and Course Registration.
Step 3: Schedule an Academic Advising and Course Registration Appointment
The final page of your Required Orientation modules will provide you with information about how to schedule an Academic Advising and Course Registration appointment with your academic college. You are responsible for using the contact information provided in the Required Orientation modules to schedule your own appointment.
Note: You will not be able to register for classes until you have fully completed the Required Orientation modules.
